I really think this is an incredible article - the photos alone show you how close the Leica is to a timepiece rather than a camera 🙂

All those gears and teeth and such; reminds me of something from a lost time 🙂

Today, you open a camera and there's a circuit board staring at you with a few connectors here and there to switches and buttons - it looks too.. umm.. sterile compared to the inards of the old mechanical cams 🙂

The magazine hasn't been published for some time. I have a scattering of back issues, mostly with articles on Canon SLR's (sorry, I'm a big fan of the F-1 series). There is an incredible amount of info, but it's expensive to buy the reprints, or find copies of the original magazines. Postings like this are a great service to all of us.
