This lens is part of a batch of 100 lenses that Cosina/Voigtlander made for the japan Camera Society. Black paint and brass barrel. Internally it is the same as the stock 35f1.4, weighs a bit more and feels good in the hand.
I have one and it is my favorite "compact" 35f1.4 - it comes along wherever I go these days.
Performance is similar to the regular 35f1.4 SC, but as these lenses were "handpicked" they are closer to the "blueprint" when it comes to tolerances.
Nice finish too, nickel plated instead of chrome and the black paint makes it stand out a bit.
