New Year's resolutions are generally just alot of wishful thinking. We all can come up with a laundry list of things we would like to do that would improve our bodies, minds or life. The most likely hood as we all know is that most will have subverted their best of intentions and taken that sip of soda or stopped their morning walk routine sooner then later.
But actually making a plan, such as what most successful people have a habit of doing, would be of greater import to actually accomplishing getting something done. It doesn't have to be shooting a picture everyday, or today, or catching up on some photo editing backlog, all it has to be is a plan. Much like planning a vacation, party or meeting for dinner for that matter. Plans detail a logical order. It can be something as small as taking the trash out Wednesday night to producing a photo book for Mom out of a plethora of unseen digital photographs. With plans "in mind", they almost chide a person to action. You might be able to relate to the idea of making a simple plan of doing the dishes and winding up looking at them for the next day or two. At some point it's going to be psychological warfare in your mind and your going to do them. Result; Clean counter and happy mind.

So, in the spirit of photographic Plan making, do you have an idea that has been rolling around in your head that you would like to see happen; At some point. I could be a one year project or more, it can happen infrequently due to any circumstances, it can cover obviously any genre, trains, planes or automobiles, and it can be of anything photographically related.

It really is kind of a tall order to think on such an idea and define it down when the world is so large. I myself am not the greatest plan maker per se, although I am pushed to action due to my desire to eat and pay my bills. So I am thinking it over and defining my own photo plan this next week. I am going to write it down and post it on my bathroom mirror as a checklist. First stop, Business Card. That's right the simple business card to hand to people and tell them that I take pictures, or you can see your picture here in my Flickr Account. Download for free. You can also contact me here about anything related to photography or our discussion.

Think it over; Post your ideas and let's converse and see if we can help each other to successful conclusions. Or relate your own experiences for the rest of us about what you have done.
