Some great shots here. I think I see another idea for an RFF book!
Here's mine, taken with a Fuji GA645:

Some really beautiful shots! Love the family portraits. Roland and Gabor, I have seen those images before and they left an impression on me. Dwaoka, an interesting reflection-shot!

As for myself, my favourite shot is my 'favourite' because of the circumstances under which it was taken and how I had to overcome the limited light to get an interesting image. The shot is of my daughter at her first bigtime ballet performance; she was rather nervous. She was mentally preparing for her part. I wanted to take a quick shot, but I realized I had neglected to change the film, though I still had one frame left on the roll in the camera. But the roll was adox cms 20. Yes, ASA 20 with backstage lighting.....but I knew the moment would fade, so I decided to wedge myself in the doorframe and shoot it. What resulted was an interesting shot that captured the mood rather well.

My 2 favorites from 2008 are both of my kids.

The first one is the first picture I took of my newborn son, he was born on may the 7th. Uses a Hasselblad with a 80mm lens, shot on Delta 400@800 and souped in xtol. It was overexsposed so it got a bit grainy.

The second one is my daughter. Also shot on my Hasselblad and a 150mm lens. Tri-x400 souped in xtol.

Machu Picchu, May '08, taken with a Canon 30D and 17-55/2.8 IS - although I have a nearly identical image taken with a Canon G9, my backup camera.

I made this image after three days of hiking on the Inca Trail. I had to run the last 2 miles down psycho Inca stairs and trail to capture this light, totally worth it though.

Great pictures here!

My personal counter says: 259 rolls from 2008/1/1 until 2008/12/24;
and then choose one frame? Thats cruel.
