Your best worst photo!

There's this one where the bird took off and I snapped as I was following it.

Walked out of a cool dry house into a warm humid yard, lens fogged over.

What didn't you like about it, and why did you change your mind?

It's almost like the starkness of the grain is the subject, but the high contrast of the pole with birds competes with it.

Hello Huss

When I developed the roll I thought it was a waste so I just scanned and saved the photos and forgot about them.

I was going back through my files and came across this shot and really took a look at it full screen and I stood back and thought not that bad.

I guess my tastes have evolved and the grain doesn't bother me as much as it used too.

As far as composition I could have taken more time to position the pole a little better but I was just shooting a roll of expired 3200 that I had in the fridge for 10-15 years as I was just getting back to photography and just got the RC35 rangefinder so I was just burning film.

Any comments/criticism is appreciated

Don

I really liked Polaroid Type 55, and was bummed when it was discontinued. I was excited when New55 attempted to reproduce a positive/negative peel-apart film, so joined the Kickstarter campaign. When I got that first batch, it was, shall we say, a bit problematic, and many of my shots had little or no usable image. The failed chemical pods in this one (admittedly, it was expired film by the time I tried this shot, as the first batch had a very short shelf life) turned out to be quite interesting:

Alstroemeria. Ebony 45SU. Rodenstock Imagon 250mm lens. H7.7, 1/2" exposure. Yes, I was masochistic enough to mix a soft focus lens with an unreliable film!

For what it's worth, most of the folks behind New55 are still working on the project, under a different name: https://famousformat.com/category/new55-pn/

I'm interested enough to keep an eye on it, but want to wait until they work out a few more problems before I buy some. Actual Type 55 was really quite reliable and gave really nice negatives.

I didn't realize that I had shot a few frames and rewound the film a year previously. Usually I write something on the cartridge. For some reason I didn't, so I thought it was an untouched roll. I really liked the way this one came out:

This one has mistakes on all sides. To start with it's crooked:

This was made mor or less 5 years ago, whith the Poilaroid sx-70 and an Impossible B&W film.

The shot got stuck inthe camera when ejecting ...depending oin the mood I can see many different things here...

Excellent Peter!

I thought the statue of William IV on the gate at the Royal William Yard looked good with the Sun behind just visible through the clouds. A light leak that I hadn't seen before on my Leica R7 turned it into something out of Ghostbusters.

Nice! How did you get a light leak on the R7?

Nice. To me it's an impressionist beach scene.

therein lies the Beauty of Imperfection ... makes for Art

Hats off to everyone here , makes for Beautiful Eye Candy!!

OK, I'll play. I've used a FUJI GA645 with over three dozen rolls, so that's like 576 photos and I finally got one that missed focus! You're supposed to keep an eye on the automatic focus meter in the viewfinder to make sure you have the distance right.

But to be fair I was shooting into a mirror so it must have thrown the meter off!
