Hello, wanna talk about your favorite carry-on items, cases, straps and other items you like.

Few shots of mine:

You use a (German Army?) medical pouch as a camera carrier? That's pretty cool.

I carry my user camera around with a Leicatime strap. Still looking for a good half case

Yep! still use'n'enjoy :))

Show your strap, please. The leather is often too dry to carry so expensive items. I saw Leitz metal chain one time but it is too rare to find...

With the M-P, I'm using the Leica half-case (Protector) and a Street Strap (52" length).

I have several shoulder bags to accommodate different gear. My small ones for daily use with this camera vary between a Tenba DNA 8, a Billingham L2, and a Black Label Bag "Evans Walker Bag Mark II" (from Photo Village in NYC). The "Evans Walker" I've only started using recently: it turns out to be even nicer than I expected.

No pictures right now, maybe over the weekend.

Wow, I'm ready to bet it smells with aroma of expensive excellent leather!!! Great sensual bonus to porn with Leica!

I liked the looks of that leather bag but. .. ... (here it comes) at $75.+ it's wayto pricey for my slender wallet. Guess evil-bay of Hong Kong just ain't that cheep, even for a little leather box/bag made in 1959.

My friend offers case like this made of few colors in original very soft and sexy Ostrich skin. I ordered one for my M3 and while he is designer and could make anything I imagine and could explain - wanna think about to make new collection for classic Barnack Leica too. What do you think, guys?
The problem is that this skin is very expensive and strap like this costs big bucks. Is it crazy to spent 200-300-500-800 dollars additionally for camera with same price? I really do not know but feel need ;)

Luigi's Leicatime strap on my user Leica IIIc

Rick,

That strap looks very a propos for a WW II camera...

While it's not "period", I have found the bottom half of a Leica III-g case to be a very good user for me... the strap lugs are metal D-rings, secured to the case with metal straps and rivets... I have a wide-strap on my mine. It is my walk-around case for whatever screw-mount I happen to be shooting.

I wonder if Luigi makes a strap that can be laced through an old-style screw-mount case, where the strap loops under the bottom of the case ?

This is a nice case for the Leica I or II, without strap eyelets. There is no cut-out for the low-speed knob of the Leica III. You will have to remove the nose of the case however. Original Leica, 1932.

Leica M5, Nokton-M 50mm f/1.5, Tmax400.

Yan,

do you actually put your Leica in this pouch/bag? If so, could we please have an example of how it looks?

The "snake" chains look really cool, but I find they kind of "bite" into the neck, with their narrow diameter.

I would check ANY vintage chain / strap frequently... I had a "good-looking" Leica strap fail on me, sending one of my black III's to the earth. :(

My M6 case.

My M6 case.

My M6 came with a brown leather Leica case but didn't come apart to use as a half case. I had a Praktica leather one which did come apart so, after a quick move of the fixing screw on the bottom, I had a case which comes apart when shooting. Also a disguise for my Leica when just walking around!
