Your favourite film for an SLR?

I still have one F90x that I'm holding onto in the event of a zombie apocalypse.

Now the "film" in my SLR is Nikon D3. More and more frequently it is Fuji X100 and very occasionally a Panasonic GX1.

I keep my D3 around in the event of a zombie apocalypse! Or just a general lack of film.

If/when I shoot color, its usually digital or medium format, since I love big 6x6 slides on Velvia. Occasionally I go with drugstore film.

Like others said, I generally shoot the same rotation of films regardless of SLR/RF, just different ones in each. HP5 in the Bronica, FP4 in the Nikon. I prefer finer-grained film for 35mm, generally.

Expired film is oddly expensive

Nah, not if you only buy the really cheap stuff.
I NEVER buy film when I desperately need it, I buy it when I see an auction end for peanuts - and keep it in the fridge.
