Yes, this one is extraordinary. Stephen Shore would have been happy to have taken this one. The colour is wonderful and the light but the birds and bonnet (hood, sorry) take it to another level.
Thank you for such kind words 🙂

Thank you very much for this great thread Lynn!
There are so GREAT pictures... it's a big pleasure to read/see it.
Here you have the one I have selected to this thread. I made this portrait one week ago.
I love this portrait because it is so special for me to see my wife and my daughter so happy. Maybe (surely) I have some photographs that are "better" technically, or maybe more interesting for people that isn't from my family... but today I feel this portrait is the best picture I made in 2018.

This picture made me think of the movie, Red Sorghum ... - https://www.google.com/search?q=red...js_fAhUaQN4KHdWqAzgQ_AUIDigB&biw=1920&bih=944The color one is taken in Bromo Mountain.. in a collosal Art Show...
I took portrait of one dancer with my Rolleiflex 3.5F and Kodak Ektar 100
I'd have to say this one;
Living History Weekend in the Memorial Museum Passchendaele
Kodak Auto Graflex, Ross 7-1/4" Xpress lens, Fomapan 100
Because taking historical images with 100-year-old cameras is fun.
Favorite image of 2018, not 1918, Rik.
