Your Gallery Top 5...

We need in the end to compile all selected "Top 5" images and create an "improved" condensed gallery to add to over time only the best of what we have. This way, we can slowly start to reduce and dismantle our over grown galleries.

That's a good idea Raid. I guess we could all create a Top 5 album within our galleries.

Some amazing stuff you all have shared in this thread!
I like the concept as well, so:
I made an album in my gallery titled "My fav five" http://www.rangefinderforum.com/photopost/showgallery.php?cat=6982
Some what problematic to do since my opinion of my work changes but these are the five I like best now.

i really like Beach Chair and Ball. The ball looks like some alien object left there for us to study - like the monoliths in 2001!

Todd, that's weird because I have a lot of favorites from your fantastic gallery but these ones. Photodave had a great idea with this thread: we can actually see the gap between the photographer's approach and the viewer's. Who's right? Unfortunately(?), the viewer, I guess, because once shown, a picture doesn't belong anymore to the photographer.

Simon, your gallery is almost full of "top 5" pictures. How could you pick 5 pictures? :)

Best,
Marc

PS: thanks Dave for your comment :)

Marc,
I think there are some emotional ties that bind us to an image, some event or other criteria that tend to draw us in to what a photog sees, but not completely.
