your images vs your gear...a poll

Variety is the spice of life! In photographic gear and the photos themselves, and lots of other things that shall remain nameless ... because this is a photo/gear forum afterall 😉

Gear is nice and playing around with different cameras and lenses is fun but ... without any decent photos in the portfolio it is getting boring and also slightly embarrassing if the value of the gear exceeds the quality of the images by a margin ... 😱

... I totally agree ! (was more thinking in the line of a famous German camera maker .... 😉)

i would argue that, while a decent portfolio of photos is preferable, it is by no means a "requirement" 🙄:angel:😛

I'm just a so so photographer, but for myself it's my relaxation, escape from pressures, as well as just darn fun! Gear is certainly half of the enjoyment & actually getting to use such gear completes the cycle! But I'm still confused about which answer to pick!
