Hi,
Just tried out my new Eos 1000d with the kit 18-55IS lens..
I heard that the stabilizer would help in ambient light shots, but I did not believe it was a real option for me.

Instead I got some good available light shot like this one:

Since this is a less than 500 Euros camera, now I'm wondering how good can be a professional one. :(

Now I really need to find out a grainless and smooth 800 ISO film to justify using my RFs :p please help!
Rob.

Fuji 800Z for colour, Tmax 400 @ 800 for BW. And you could justify using film to avoid those nasty highlight burn out :p

I'm currently using TMax 400 @200.. having it also @800 would be perfect! Can you suggest development time/agent?

Yes burn outs are nasty :p totally unacceptable!

I haven't souped in nearly a year so I can't remember what's the time like, I think I did something around 9-10 min in Ilford DDX 1:4, I have seen nice result with Tmax dev and 7.5 mins as well.

Did you shoot this in RAW? You may be able to get that highlight detail back by 'developing' a layer of this image for the burned out areas and erasing down to the parts you need to fix.

I did shoot it in RAW, but I really did not get what you suggested.. I'm such a newbie for this digital stuff... :(
