your real life one camera one lens kit...

m6 with 50mm Summicron v3 but I like my CV 35mm 2.5 but bought a 0.85 m6 and find the 35mm frame unusable even without glasses. Love my XA as well although it is starting to fall apart.

Just another thought on the XA. I think my dream take anywhere camera would be a crafted metal bodied XA with full manual control not just AP.
Nothing wrong with the lens though, that could stay.

Interesting to me that most posted are film bodies...

I fall into that bucket. Not my digital M's, would be my M6 classic and 35 Cron. Small, light, solid, and in the long haul.

I assume the choice is to be from true manual focus rangefinder cameras, in which case it would be my Bessa T with CV 35mm f1.7.

If AF "rangefinder types" are allowed it would be the Fuji X100.

For a rangefinder, my Contax G2 and either the 45 or the 21 (I know, weird lens choice, but I LOVE the 21 on that camera, just not as a portrait lens). Otherwise, in a non-rangefinder, my Rolleiflex 2.8E with the Planar.

leica or not but lets keep to rf gear...

my real life kit, if just using one lens and body is the rd1s with the rollei 40 sonnar attached.

Hear hear! I love that Sonnar on the M8. I just wish there were a super-sharp-on-digitalM8-all-the-way-into-the-corners super wide (wider than 21) that were the same size!

Digital: M8 and rollei sonnar, unless it's gonna be dark, then it would be M8 and the 35/1.2

Film: ZI and ZM C Sonnar.

I am relatively new here and new to rangefinders... but based on my Early results with my Fujica Compact Deluxe... I have no reason to really want anything else, film or digital.. at least until I learn enough to be limited by the camera :). That isn't saying I don't want anything else, but my early results have encouraged me enough to be a bit more jaded about the need for a digital camera when there is so much good glass out there relatively cheap.

Leica M9 with the QuintElmarit 2.8/18-24-35-50-90.

Ah, what? No! Wait! I must have been dreaming...

Actually, the M8 with the Ultron 2/28. ;)

GF-670!
But today I took it mountain climbing and the battery went dead almost instantly in the cold. So I was glad I had my other one body/one lens kit, which worked beautifully in the cold.
NEX7 - Sigma 30/2.8 (since buying the Sigma lens in September I haven't taken it off the camera yet. The old Sony zoom and 16mm pancake sit sadly on the shelf)
