I guess if one's 'real life' choice of camera is not a rangefinder then maybe one doesn't belong around here!
It's never about photography around here is it ... it's always about the camera?
FOR THIS ONE QUESTION from me?
yes. it's about the rf gear...
and it's about photography quite a bit around here...lots of image threads...

since I don't seem to know Myself anymore
What is it Keith that You 'SEE'
a) its size which I am willing to 'Deal with'
b) its OOF rendering which seems a tad lux-y-ish...I have always Enjoyed the 35 7 50 Lux
c) something I have not thought of
It's a great lens but it's a little clinical IMO ... and you are definitely not a clinical photographer. Your work is pure emotion and this lens will partially hide that ... only my opinion.

Strangely the only camera I've really liked this lens on so far is the RD-1 where you have a lot of control over the output ... being digital!

M6 0.85 classic with MP optics + either Biogon-C 35/2.8 or Biogon 21/2.8 + ZM finder.
(B)
X-Pro1 + Fujinon 28/2.8. A wonderful (though imperfect) lens; the more I use it the more I like it.
I also have the Fujinon 35/1.4 but I prefer wide angle lenses. The 35 is a nearly perfect lens but 50mm efov is not a one-lens solution for me -- it's reserved for specialized applications. I find a 21 efov easier to use as a general purpose lens than a 50. Yeah, crazy, I know.
