Your thoughts on Nikkor 50/1.8 AI-S Japanese pancake version

The lens, film and developer are great - the look is nice but no one aspect is overly intrusive. I like the plainness of the technique.

I love Takamine guitars. In the 1990’s Takamine had the best non-custom pick up systems and were almost indestructible. They wear out before they break - and then you can just get them restored. Great guitars.

Looks like a nice trip.

Thanks for the kind words, Marty. There are probably better lenses and more "professional" film stocks and developers, but I'm happy with this combination. For me, it's a good balance of simple and inexpensive, and it just seems to work.

I'll have to ask my friend, but I think his Takamine is one of the said 1990's models. No pick up system on this one, but like the kit used to take the photo, just a simple, well made, but inexpensive guitar. :cool:
