I really like the flare 'resistance' of this lens. It blooms in a very pleasing way (to my eye, at least).

The close-up/wide-open look has the right amount of SA (again, to my eye).

And stopped down, very sharp corner-to-corner (as would be expected). A beautiful 50mm that has it's own unique merits that is also wonderfully compact (but not too compact...at least for my hands).
