My first plans didn't quite go over. I've decided to redo the windmill shots after I get the LF camera...I figure I'll use it and the Canon P. We're also going to Ames, not Des Moines. I figure that some shots of Ames are just as good as shots of Des Moines...I'll just talk the boyfriend into stopping down in campus town.

Find the thread I talked about it in. 😉 It's a 5x7 (well, 13x18) view camera that is as of yet without a shutter. Has a 180mm lens (which is good). I'll probably be teaching myself how to load the film...it's going to be a learning experience for sure.

On the subject of weekend photography, had a great morning in the flying fox colony and the botanic gardens. Shot a roll of 400asa print film of bats, and a roll of HP5 in the M3 of people and things in the gardens. Going to soup up now, must be careful to distinguish between fixer & gin & tonic.........

About the same problem here, so one day I guess I will remove the front lights to mount a camera - drive thru shooting. Maybe Konica Auto S3. Around -1 to +1°C I rather stick to photographing this weekend. (I ride to work always everyday)

My project was to go and take some night photos around waterloo, ended up being in the cold wind and rain until about 4 am. I got some nice pictures though, including some with a zeiss ikon 6x9 folder:

Pfffft! Our photo club still went to the WAP in escondido 😀 We got hailed on, and although it was FREEZING COLD (for california), it was very neaet to see how the animals responded. The flamingos all huddled up together, ducks hid under the rosemary, etc etc.
Here are a few shots.. sorry, they are dslr, I haven't had a chance to develop my M2 shots. At least one is in the spirit of rangefinder style 🙂

woke up this morning to yet more snow on the ground and it's still snowing.
i had hoped for a snow free walk today.
i have 2 rolls in the tank from yesterday and will process them later when i am fully awake.
one roll is all 25/2.8 zm and i'm anxious to see some results.

I have a sore throat, and that is certainly much easier to endure than what you have!

My week end is just starting. Warm today(50 degrees F or so)but gray and overcast. Rainy on and off. The winter has been very different this year! Usually we get snow by Halloween and it stays through at least St Patrick's Day. We have gotten the usual amount of precipitation but it hasn't been cold enough for any build up. I generally start looking forward to the nice weather about now--heard some geese last night--but we almost always get one big last strom so I'm kind of waiting for the other snow shoe to drop. Anybody got some cheese to go with my whine? 🙄
ANYWAY, since the light is flat and even today, I'm going to head out to one or two of the cast iron bridges nearby and shoot them with my LTM pinhole set up. Nothing spectacular but I need to get a handle on exposure times.
I was given a book 200 Waterfalls in Central and Western NY and will be seeing how many in my county I can shoot this summer.

Good weekend photographically - I spent a lot of it polishing stuff as I have a new tin of Silvo and some new brown boot polish. While going through the cupboard I came across my old Zenit 3m SLR ( a cousin of the Zorki 6). It takes M39 lenses and since they are all aluminium and therefore glinting softly in the sunlight after a good polishing I thought I should take the thing for a walk. I put the MIR 1 37 mm lens on ( this is a lens in the USSR tradition of lovely lenses with smooth tones and great detail) and went out. Two images are now in my gallery, and next weekend it's definitely the FED 2 (unless my newly ordered Kiev 4a shows up, of course).

My photography activities this weekend have been rather limited so far, but there is room for more. The sun was hiding for most of yesterday, and today I am seeing the sun here and there between the clouds, but I am stuck home with the kids while my wife is studying at the library. I took some photos at the beach yesterday, but I wonder how good the results will be when using a Horizon 202 panorama camera handheld, while carrying one of my daughters! The rest was done with a Fuji Natura, which was better suited since it has AF and is automatic. On the other side of things, an automatic camera was not suitable for white skies and white sands. Today, I used a Zorki-4 with a Canon 50/1.2 and I took some photos of my daughter as she was looking out of her room's window. I also tried a few shots with a Canon F1N and a Canon 85mm/1.2L lens with B&W film. Come to think ot it; it's not so bad as I thought.
Kim sent me some very clean 50mm lenses (Thanks!), and I will try the 50/2 out (is it Jupiter8?) on a Zorki-4 camera and Fujicolor 100 film. I may take some photos of one of my daughters in the backyard if I manage to do this while the other daughter is sleeping. Dana is now very "professional" when I take photos of her. She tilts her head and she gives me a look and she listens carefully to my instructions how to hold herself.

I had the Bessa out Saturday for a couple of walks. One around the so-called Ghost Canal and the other around town as I did some errands.
Sunday was a lazy day ... so I took the dSLR for a walk in the woods.
Got a few good shots ... so it was a pretty good weekend.
