The attached was one of many Reala photos I did yesterday with handheld meter, Horizon pano camera at 1/125 f/11.

The meter reading were: for shadows area1/125 f/8 and for the bright areas 1/250 f/16.

If I shot same location on Astia slide will the image be over or under exposed?
Thanks for any answer

Slide film has a few stops less exposure lattitude than negative film, so in your example, the sunlit areas would be a bit lighter and possibly washed out, and the shadow areas would be darker. Typically with slide film one exposes for the highlights so they don't burn out, and one lets the darker areas go dark. With negative film, the best plan (usually) is to expose generously for the shadows and develop and/or print for the highlights.

OK, Lazar, here's a wise-ass answer--

If you shoot the same scene with Astia slide film, it's not going to fit into the mount.

I'm not actually familiar with Astia. I've shot lots more Kodachrome, Velvia, Agfachrome, 3M, etc. Generally, I would agree with Frank. I tend to expose for the highlights.

On another subject, how is the Horizon camera? I saw lots of them on the bay when I was looking for panoramics. I bid unsuccessfully for several Krasnogorsk FT-2s. I was intrigued by that camera-- it seemed kind of primitive. Actually, I think it was the predecessor of Horizont. So I finally found a used Widelux, but it probably needs a CLA, because I've gotten some weird results-- seems the lens is not swinging at a consistent speed through its arc. Anyway, do you have the Horizon 202, or some other model? Just curious.

Thanks All. I'll develop the slides today.
Dan: about my Horizon S3 PRO (aka 203). I bought a new one from Russia. Primitive camera, but I like it.
