zarya - viewfinder outoffocus

Hi!
For some time now I have had in my desk drawer a Zarya. Even if I bought it mostly out of curiosity as a collectors item, i would like to have it working properly. The problem is that the viewfinder is permanently out of focus. I have dismantled it and tried to find out what is wrong, but with very little success! Can anybody out there on the forum help?

I have the same problem with some auxiliary VF's. I find that if I concentrate on one object in the frame, it will "pop" into focus, rather than trying to see everything at once. My eyes are only one year older than yours but that is a serious consideration. They just don't react fast enough.
