Hi everyone

A year and a half ago I bought myself a Zeis Ikon Ikoflex

Ikoflex_I.jpg

This one to be exact.

I bought one just to put on my shelf, but half a year ago I decided to see what pictures I could get out of this beauty. I put a roll through it, and it works fine.

The only problem I have is that the finder is pretty dim: I took it apart this weekend and the only problem is that the mirror is fading and really old.

I'm going to see this week if I can find someone who can cut me a mirror in the same dimensions, and see if that helps.

Any other tips on maybe taking apart the lenses, because it looks like they're a little fogged up on the inside.

I'll post some pictures tomorrow of my exact specimen.

Thanks everyone, great input. I'll just have a mirror made around here. Would be stupid to have a mirror mailed from anywhere in the world to Ecuador, if I can get one made in the same dimension around the corner here for probably 50 cents.

Thanks Hans for the pictures, will be a great help. Hopefully I can get to it tonight. Ik zal laten weten hoe het gegaan is!

Damn, I'll see if I can find one like that. Doubt it though. There isn't a way to clean the current mirror? It's oxidized around the edges and a little dim.

The things is I live in Ecuador, and whatever I buy online, I have to add 15 dollars and a month shipping time for everything, so I'll first see if I can't find it over here.. All the links you guys posted are really helpfull btw! Thx
