Here is a good focus chart to test your lens after repairing: http://www.rangefinderforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=109748But I expected something like this so I'm just glad that the lens will probably stop taking out of focus pictures after I get it back from Zeiss.

Vincenzo.
the seller full well knew of the problem with the lens he sold, or he would be an absolute fool if he didn't know.
the seller should pay for half the costs of repair, no way it got damaged in transit when the buyer said the parcel was in fine condition......
and the seller had to justify himself without being named or asked...guilty...pay up.

Nice chart
Btw, lens came back from Zeiss. Mechanically it now is indeed PERFECT. Absolutely no play in focus ring, no wobble, focusing action is smoooooth and even across the entire focusing range. It's a real joy to use. I will have a test roll developed and scanned by Friday and I hope that image quality is also back to Zeiss standard.
