Zeiss 35mm f2 & filter

Hi,

The Zeiss 35/2 Biogon's front element curves out quite a lot. I'm concerned that it might come into contact with and be damaged by filters I put on. Anyone has any experience with this?

I'm was a little anxious about that too but it works well. 1 month with the filter on it and no problem at all... i kept it off for cleaning yesterday and no scratch on the lens.

just like my 50/2 summicron, I bought a Heliopan filter adapter to 52mm for my Biogon. no worries here 😀

I'll add that uv filter is a must have on this lens as the lens cap is really cheap... but you all know that right ?

Yes I think you will be fine with a filter. And yes the lens caps suck horribly, I have recently replaced all mine with those cheap 1 dollar Chinese caps which are sadly...much better, and with filters on the lenses the caps dont have issues coming on and off with the hoods attached.
