Zeiss Biogon 21mm ZM with fotodiox hood

Anyone has any experience using this hood for the Zeiss 21mm zm

It looks like it is going to fit the filter thread and I prefer shades to filter most of the time.

I think it will severely block the edges. -Vignetting...

Absolutely. Not a wide angle lens hood. Will cause vignetting and severe loss of appetite.

Even the Zeiss 25/28 hood works perfectly with the 21 4.5 but I agree with everyone here: that one is a 35/50 hood and too deep.

thanks guys. It makes sense to me now why the shape of the hood for the 21 zm is so large. guess i would go for a mrc b+w filter as lens protection under the rain then. Any other suggestions here? i hate ghosting on filter but it's better than getting it wet.
