It's only the 2nd of January and I just bought one on a whim. It won't be here for a few days...

I'd love to see some black & white work, and or close-up (I see this lens focuses to .5m) with a 28/2.8 Biogon ZM - does anyone have some inspiring shots they can share.

In my search of Flickr many of the close-up and B+W shots appear to have been from an M8 - which, with the crop factor, I don't consider an accurate representation of what the lens will do on film.

Here are a couple of mono shots from it. The second and third Baltimore shots were on this I recall. Its a really good lens. Like all ZMs it has a smooth relaxed rendering of scenes. Seems plenty sharp enough for me, even from wide. most of my shots were at f5.6-11 on that day, however (most not posted there but I dont have access to them as overseas). I like mine and whilst not super small like the elmarit M asph it is small enough not to be big!

Thanks guys- my 28 arrived. Now I just have to wait for weather and work load that permtis me to get out and shoot some.

I'm already suspecting this will be a little wider than I like to shoot - but it will be a fun challenge.

Cheers
