Zeiss Contax I 50cm Fernobjektiv 500mm Exceptionally Rare Complete Direct Mount

What an amazing item. Just when one thinks they've heard of everything in the Contax Universe something like this pops up.

I suppose that dial on the finder compensates for parallax? I have little doubt that with care this can be an effective lens to actually use, although clearly pretty much a collectible today. It would be interesting to see this mounted on a digital Leica M mount camera with an adapter. (That could make framing easier too).

I have the post-war version in Panflex mount. Sharp lens and, believe-it-or-not, usable on my digital Nikon with a BR-1 ring.

I have the Fernobjektiv of early, DDR manufacture and it really is a very fine lens, especially with BW film.

I'd like to find one that could be mounted on my Flektoskop (but honestly, I don't know the difference between those sadaptable to the Flektoskop or the Flektometer).

The lens offered on ebay is a beautiful, cased complete outfit, including the yellow filter.

The price is attractive, if compared to the past. In any case, this is a true rarity.

I have two of these beast: one with viewer and filter in a leather case, identical to the one sold recently, the other one as a single lens with no accessories.
