I have a very nice Contax IIa which I inherited from my father

have had the camera CLA'd (which is a whole other story) and have been "trying" to take pictures with some challenges, but that will be the subject of a separate post once I develop the film which I shot yesterday and see the results from my latest effort...
my question today relates to the case (not pictured) which outwardly appears to be in good shape. However when I was shooting yesterday I noticed that the rivets which hold the front of the case to the body of the case are letting go. The top of the rivets fall under the chrome band which encircles the case. Has anyone had experience fixing a problem like this.
lesson learned....shoot without the case... they are a nuisance anyways, but still handy for storing the camera
