Hello folks,
I'm still learning how to make the best use of my new Super Ikonta BX. I've tackled several issues one at a time.

So far, I've gotten over the narrow frame spacing , or overlapping frames problem by putting strips of electrical tape on the takeup spool axis before loading the film. The frames are now adequately separated, and I still get 12 exposures out of a roll of film.

The meter was working, but off about 1/2 a stop. A little work with a screwdriver on the calibration screw now makes it match up to my Gossen Luna Pro, which has always given me dead on slide exposures.

I found a Zeiss 32mm slip on lens hood, and had to file it a bit to make it fit. Initially, it struck the fascia behind the focus ring, and prevented focusing with the RF dial when the hood was mounted. Now it works great.

The RF was right on, so no problems there.

I got fancier and tried the Zeiss Proxars. They do allow nice closeups, but I've got to use a measuring tape and the table to focus them, and the framing is rather questionable.

So, to my real question. I have a 32mm Zeiss "Deltalinse" 13.5 x 1.8 which slips on top of the front element of the camera. What is is supposed to do? When I tried it, all the pictures came out blurry. I thought that this may be some type of rudimentary teleconverter. It was marketed by the seller as a "Distar" lens. Anyone know what this supplementary lens is intended for, and how to use it?

Thanks.
