Hi guys,

I just bought small nice Zeiss Deiaphot lightmeter (ebay).

Does anyone have any experience with it? I understand how to use it but for which film ASA is it good for? Can it be recalibrated?

Thanks

The Diaphot has a fixed scale for medium speed plates of the era - i.e. 14°-17° Scheiner. That would be equivalent to about 2-4 ASA.

Thanks sevo.

Can it be calibrated? I just ordered it so I cannot see, but I saw online that some people is using it, so I assume can be usable with higher iso film.

I know, I can always calculate difference between 4 asa and 400 but still..

No. But there is not that much mental maths involved - 3 ASA is six stops from 100 ASA...
