Zeiss Ikon and Jupiter 9

Does Jupiter 9 work with Zeiss Ikon? I am getting a Zeiss Ikon, and do not want to risk damaging Zeiss Ikon with the lens.

I use j-9 on Leica M2 with no problems. I dont see how it can damage your ZI, it doesn't have a huge rear lens like J-12.

if you use a ltm39 to M adapter there are possibly no ways to damage your ZI. 🙂

I use the J9 on the ZI without problems but take care of the J12

To use with the ZI, I'd get an LTM Nikkor (a Sonnar type) or the pre-ASPH Cron (an Ernostar type) instead: http://www.dantestella.com/technical/compat.html

I own a black Jupiter 9 85 mm f/ 2 from many years. I have mounted this medium tele photo on the Leica M2 and the Bessa R2, without any problem. Now, i use the Jupiter 9 on my Leica CL and work very fine with the particular metering system of the CL. I love very mutch the Jupiter 9.
