Zeiss Ikon & Collapsable lenses???

Has anyone tried one of these on their Ikon yet? I'm looking at getting a 50mm collapsable elmar for the M3 and would like to know if I can or cannot collapse this lens on the ZI?

I just tried my 2.8 Elmar on my Ikon and it doesn't collapse without hitting the body of the camera. It's fine in the extended position! 🙂

I meant to mention that the lens tube doesn't touch the shutter leaves ... I measured the depth of the lens tube and checked the camera dimensions and it clears them ok. It hangs up on the recessed housing before the shutter!

Thanks Keith! So, I guess I can go with the chrome version to match my M3.

Or you could try the Voigtlander f2 50mm Heliar Classic, which collapses with no intrusion into the camera, completely fine on the ZI body.
