Zeiss ikon s312 shutter issue

Is bought a Zeiss ikon s312 on eBay. I have tested with film, the meter is working Auto exposure needs compensate one grade higher. The flash shoe and x syc connection are not working. The shutter seem like to fire only at 1/500.I will get the film back from the lab next week. If this is the issue,is it possible to repair it today?

btw Do you mean meter shows many different reading but shutter fires on shortest time only?

Probably it is, but ask yourself how much labor and/or money you want to put into this automatic (ok, semi) camera and what you'll get after all?

yes, that is exactly the issue, but I don't know if there is still spare parts
available and how expensive it will be...

No spare parts for sure. You would need to open it up to investigate, but from your description I don't know what you will find. The flash contact is a small metal spring inside the shutter, and the shutter timing is controlled by a mechanism (the escapement) although some cameras used an electromagnet system of some sort. it could be something broken off inside, which then means it stops it working on all functions, or is just blocking part of the mechanism. I've worked on some earlier ones so you can look at the photos if you want. Where are you located?

Having the same problem with my Voigtlander VF101 (same basic camera). Meter is fine but always fires at 1/500. Gah

As far as I can make out it's an aperture-priority camera? In which case I presume the meter is telling it that the light is very bright, or perhaps that the solenoid that controls shutter speed isn't working so it's running at full speed.
