It's a 35mm camera, a good one, but still 35mm. The difference between the two must be pretty clear. 35 is no 6x7.
The best 35mm combination will not touch the toes of a mediocre mid-format let alone mamiya 7.
My 40yr old rolleiflex produces better results than my Leica MP with 35 asph. If it's family snapshots you do then the switch will be fine, anything else you will be disappointed, that is if you only own the 35mm and cannot make the choice of which camera to use.

It is smaller, that much is true ....
 
The Plaubel 67 RF has a 2.8 Nikkor lens. So you get MF with a faster lens that is in the same league as the Mamiyas.
