First time shooting with a folding RF. This is the f4.5 Novar 75mm variety. I tried one roll of color and one roll of B&W. A lot of guessing going on, but it's fun to play with...

Those old Ziess cameras can be good and fun to play with.

A bit of advice. Don't shoot these old lenses into the sun or backlight.

You can get lens hoods for them. Have to shop around a bit on eBay. Worth it!

Yeah, I noticed how very strong the flare is in those back-lit situations. But with a camera like this I don't necessarily mind a 'compromised' look - I don't want the results to look like those from my Rollei. If they did, I'd be bummed about the 700 dollar price difference!

Some nice photos here. I think that your camera is the 523/16. I don't think there was ever a 23/16.

ZeissFan, you're totally right! It's the 523/16, not 23/16. I find the Ikonta numbering system somewhat dizzying. Thanks for the comments. I'm excited to use this camera more.
