I think the 12mm is warranted and a 16mm would have been cool as an option for those not wanting to go as wide as the 14mm.
On the tele end it would be nice to see a 75mm prime but then again.. as you guys have suggested, who knows what the agreement is between Zeiss and Fuji on this.
Cheers,
Dave

Just taking a quick look over the info on these and it's reasonable to assume these will be nothing short of exceptional.
12mm is a little wide for me. For most uses I would have preferred 16mm. The 32mm is just fine however.

A fast XF Zeiss 23mm could enter the annals of fame like a 35 summichron.

Not so sure if any Fuji x lens for a crop sensor will have a 50 year history though...

A 16 would definitely get my attention. The 12 is wider than I normally shoot. The 14 (21fov) is the widest normal for me.. In the past I have had cv15 as the widest but rarely used it on my film cameras.
On the tele end .. Since they have the 55-200 out... Chances of seeing a tele prime from Fuji on the roadmap in near future is not good.. That being said, I would love to c a 75f2 or a 90f2 and a 135f2.8 plus a macro at 105 at 1:2 or 200 at 1:1.
Right now I am using the omd for my long tele work and my nikor 105 on the Fuji for the macro work.

I wonder how these lenses will compare to the fujinons which are awfully good already...
I guess I am just not as picky anymore... I am fine w/ the Fuji lenses..

I am glad to see Zeiss expanding to different mounts, but I do not understand the choice of focal lengths - there already are Fuji lenses at the same/similar focal length.
Price? - I would expect about 50-100% more than Fuji ones.
Performance? - I expect nothing short of amazing, but let's see.
The first two are already showing up at 1499 msrp and it was Australian as others have mentioned. Real street price here??.. But I hope all the Zeiss fans buy a ton of them... Then Zeiss and other third party will decide there is a market on the x mount.

Since Zeiss has not really manufactured their own lenses for a while.. Given the special treatment that Zeiss got at the Fuji roadmap announcement, I wonder if Fuji is making the Zeiss lenses for them, just as CV made some of the RF lenses for m mount..
Does anyone know who was making the Nex mount lens, the 24 that was announced when the nex7 was released?

That's weird. I was just looking through them an hour ago. Link was from ToP. But you're right it's not working now.
Zeiss Germany requested they be taken down until after the May 14 press event in NYC.

Wow, prices are more or less reasonable (especially for the 32mm). Can't wait to see review of Zeiss 32mm and Fuji 27mm from photozone to choose my normal prime.

Also, I haven't kept up with this system's lenses as I'm still in film world. Are there 28, 35 & 50mm
equivalent lenses for these cameras?
Only 27mm and 53mm prime lenses so far. No 35mm equiv yet...well, unless you count this:

Amazing, how did the marketing departments mange to "condition" people to think that $900 for piece of plastic is very reasonable and they cannot wait to spend them... Amazing.
