I recently got back my first roll of film with the Contax G1. I used the Planar 45mm/2.0 and the Biogon 28mm/2.8. The results were above average for me. Only one image was clearly not in focus.

This was shot in early 2008 when 16 year old Omar Gordon was attending High School, playing guitar for Razorblade, a headliner blues band, sitting in on keyboards during the breaks, playing in his HS band, and his church choir.
Since then he has dropped out of school to be a full time musician. I have to give credit to some local big time musicians, mostly all school dropouts themselves, who are telling him he did something stupid and needs to get back in school no matter how great his musical talent is.

Bob that is a Fantastic capture. I've come back to it a couple of times now. Nice moment![]()

I wonder if second-hand prices will increase for G-lenses as a result of these M-mount conversions.

I believe that prices already have gone up. KEH prices are about $100 higher, on average for their G-mount lenses, than they were when I bought my 45 and 28 for conversion to M mount in Japan.

Yeah I agree. The G45 I bought for conversion last year was exactly $100. BTW I just looked and they are out of them. This forum should get a cut

I noticed that price increase as well. I got my 45 in EX with caps for $99 and they are usually not available now or a good amount more. Glad I got that when I did.

Yeah I must have paid around $115 for the 45 two years ago.
It's good to know that prices can go up on film equipment.

What is bokeh?
What is bokeh?
Ditto, out of focus is out of focus. To say that one lens has better bokeh than another is to say that one artist that throws paint at the canvas is a better paint thrower than another. When I get good enough that other people "see" what I saw when I took the picture, then I will worry about bokeh, if it exists.

Actually I don't know good boken from bad boken since I only worry about the part of the image that is in focus.

Well, what matters is what is in focus, and hopefully what is out of focus doesn't compete with what is in. That's good bokeh to me.
