ZM 50/1.5 Sonnar available

I got no 50 mm M mount lens and the summilux is way out of my price range so this sonnar is looking nicer and nicer

that seems to be a bargain to me, I want to see some bw shots off the lens first before I judge its contrast but yeah, I think its gona be a winner, only two more months of saving and ill pick one up

if i did it, i would have to sell both 50's first and then buy the new sonnar.
guess i'll have to think it over and in the mean time i can look over the sample shots that will eventually be showing up on the net.

I wouldn't sell the 50/2 zm, Joe. You might regret ditching such a performer later on. While the tight, narrow dof on the sonnar is outstanding, the elegant shift of the wider dof on the planar is flawless. Two ways of seeing the world, I know.

Exactly, I think planar has totaly different look, it has more of a medium format deepness more of a hassey look, sonnar is totaly different fruit 🙂

I know another solution...
Buy a contax to leica adapter (just bought one from hong kong) they seem to work perfectly... then buy an opton sonnar 1,5, a 2 and even a zeiss tessar in contax mount...
of course I'm talking old lenses ;-)

The hood for the planar is for a 43mm, the sonnar is 46mm(like the 25/2,8 ZM) hood, no worky.
