zorki 4 curtains in zorki 1b

i recently bought a zorki 1 but the shutter curtains have to be replaced. I was thinking of replacing the shutter curtains including the drum and rollers of my broken zorki 4 with those in the zorki 1.

Does anybody know if this would work?

Dear Daan,

I tried this once a few years ago, but it doens't work. The drums and rollers of the Zorki 4 are taller. What you could try is carefully loosening the curtains of the rollers with alcohol ore acetone, and reglue them on your Zorki1. Better is to replace the curtains with new shutter cloth.

If you know how and if you are not afraid of screwdrivers, you can replace curtains yourself. I replaced curtains on a Few Fed's and Zorki's. If not far away, I can sent you some shutter cloth if you want. Succes with your Zorki!
