The problem is described in the above link, see pictures.

If your Zorki 4 film take up spool from act like that check the following:

1. check the inside take up spool, there should be two little pegs (see photo 1). If you have an old metal (brass) take up spool, the little pegs may wear out, the pegs may not engage the clutch drum's slots ( see photo 2, the part labeled as "1"). If you move the take up spool the clutch drum should be move too. If the take up spool moves freely but the clutch drum does not move, the pegs is too short.
2. clean and adjust the clutch drum (photo 2). Use a long blade screw drive to unscrew the part 2, if the clutch drum friction is too little, stretch the spring to increase strength and increase the friction of clutch drum.

Now here is my solution for wear out take up spool. My Zorki 4 does not have take up spool. I bought one from ebay, I have the same problem as described in the above link. I drill out the pegs, use a tap and put two 3mm long screws (see photo 3). When I put the screw into the spool I put touch of JB weld to hold the screws in place then set for 24 hours. I file off the top to smooth the screw head.

Now the take up spool works fine.
