Zorki-6 converted into a panoramic camera 24x58

I would like to know the total length of the film channel, and to cut a window in it longer than 40mm, well, for example 58 mm. Is that possible?

I don't think you can go further than 44mm in length on this Balda camera.

A while ago I tried this:

take a stretch of B&W film from a bulk loader and roll it onto a 120 spool in the darkroom. Next, load a pre-war Zeiss-Ikon Box Tengor with it (don't forget to mask the red frame counter window).

Transport is guessing but it does produce pretty panoramic shots, even exposed past the sprocket holes of the film.


Can't see me pull off a trick like this with a Zorki-6 and Compur shutter, but tomorrow I will load up the Box Tengor methinks...😎

t's interesting. can be panoramic shots, but with a long focal. There is a medium-format cameras that have the tools to narrow your film set. YASHICA 635 TLR, for example.

For the manufacture of pens I have used this two-component epoxy adhesive.

Oh! this is a good assessment of my work. I'd love to start to produce a camera on demand, but there is an underlying problem is the central gate. Need a size 0 # Compur shutter, efficient and Rapid.

Serg, just found this old thread and I'm blown away by what you were able to accomplish! And progress on the build? Would love to get this mod done to my spare zorki 6, its well beyond my abilities though. I would happily pay to get the mod done, its just too cool!

Great job. So, you've removed most of the film gate. As initially the gate ws assymetric you have to reposition the lens mount (shift towards the right ) when looking from the back of the camera I guess. Did you have to cut a hole or some metal at the front of the camera as well to reposition the lens mount?

Yes. I had to bore the offset hole, having previously drowned out the old one. Then base on the film channel and grind on the machine.
