I ordered a Zorki 6 off eBay two weeks ago and it arrived today... So i checked the shutter speed and checked the curtains for any pinholes. Thankfully there wasnt. But when i went to try the shutter speeds, 60 or lower were fine, 125 or above didnt work. Dragging. Wont close properly. What should i do? I've considered sending it into Oleg, but i live in Hong Kong, so the postage would cost alot and the price would be expensive... I dont dare to take it apart to CLA it... comments? HELP...? Thanks!

Common ailment for all old mechanical cameras which have been unused for years. Afflicts all, regardless of brand. Sounds like tensioning or some dirty mechanism.
What's the problem with it? Slow speeds or Fast speeds? 125 up (faster?) are not opening at all?
How were you winding the camera? With almost all lever wind Russian cameras, two half-strokes are better than one full stroke when it comes to shutter cocking.
Can you elaborate the symptoms? Your camera might not be bad enough to warrant a full repair. Many of the FED and Zorki cameras sent to me just need a bit of adjustment which the owners could have done themselves.
If you live in HK, have you tried contacting Panda Camera on Stanley St? The repairist specialises in mechanical cameras. The Zorki being Leica derived might just be up his alley. His charge might be a bit high, but it might be better than what it will cost you to send the camera to Oleg.

fast speeds. 125 or up. They are opening, but not closing properly. It closes 3/4 of the way and then it's not closing. I've called Panda Camera just now, they dont repair FSUs. Would it be possible for me to ship it to you and you repair it? How much would it cost.?
