It's a Zorki 5 but looks more like a black Leica II, and it's back loading? Does anyone know if these cameras are any good? I have never owned a Soviet camera so all I know about them is what I've read here.

Yeah, JimG, that's definately a misprint or wrong pic. DVD I'm sure knows the difference - they've just screwed up that page. The serial # in the pic is something like xx187x45, not even close to the item description #; same with the lens pic and item description - which means, they're not trying to pass a Zorki.1 off as a Zorki.6. They just messed up the ad.

It seems their title [and you] are correct about it being an "e" though. My eyes aren't great, but the first two serial numbers look like "55", it has new shutter speeds, etc. And an Industar 22, not a 50 [I think I see.]

I've got a Zorki 5 en route from Alex-photo. If it arrives looking like that, hey, I'll take it and call it a 5. 😀

P.S. "Showers with spiders"? Cancel our coffee meet. 😉

edit: Ser. # match the Zorki.6 listed above this Z.1.

It's a late model Zorki-1, most likely an 'e" or what some call an "f". The vulcanite does not go all the way the lens flange. Through the paint I can see what appears to be the metal trim around the flange. The trim was originally painted black.

Zorki-1 is a reliable model, which is better than FED.
And I'd rather buy an original chrome Zorki, not black-painted.
If you wnat to know more about Zorkis, visit this website: Fedka site . It's very interesting.

Evgeny S, Thanks' for the link. I like that color, it's more classic looking to me. Anyway I'm glad to know their reliable. I think I have to have one.

Reagan, Actually the spider moved on, but the name stayed. Better then Dances with Wolfs.
