Yup its Minnine the Minx, the photo does not show the rear view of Dans dog, which looks as though it is doing what dogs do to relieve an itch in a very private area (worms??)
Lees Snowballs, Tunnocks Carmel Wafers, Irn Bru, Lees Macaroon Bars (there goes another filling!!) we still have them all. Thats why I now have a 38inch waist😱

Talking of comics and such,I notice that on BBC Radio 7,they are replaying episodes of 'Journey into Space'---does that ring any bells?

Jet Morgan and journey into space with Lemmy, God yes that was wonderful, must try to find if it is being broadcast up here!! Dan Dare in the Eagle and on Radio Luxemburg, Quatermass on TV (I hid behind the sofa, and had nightmares for weeks!!)
Saving up 6d for Woolworths "Standard" film 127 for my Purma Plus which I still have!!!

Oh John, that Purma is beautiful! This is the camera that changes speed depending on how one holds it, is it not?

The thing about Lee's snowballs is that they are remarkably low in calories, so long as you eat nothing else 🙂

BBC 7 is one of those Digital Stations,I just happened to notice it on today's schedule -- on at 6.00pm.

Obviously it has stood the test of time---Like us😉

Yes metal focal plane shutter, three speeds 1/30;1/125;1/500 + B, depending on which way up it was held!! Square format on 127 film, Beck coated fixed focus and aperture three element f6.3 55mm lens. But used correctly produced sharp and beautiful pictures in b/w and colour. Quiet, naw!! sounds like a portcullis gate being dropped!! I'll never sell it, my father bought me it for passing the 11+ (the "quallie" in Scotland) he died a year later. It will probably be buried with me:angel:

Maybe also because he had some cameras that were in extra-bad shape, and which had been sitting on a shelf of a shop for pretty long time... If he could hold some cameras that had seen Oleg's treatment his verdict might be different.

That's an important point! I had my first Soviet RF's in the early eighties (when thy were definitely not FSU!). My father bought them atan auction hose for about 10$ each sometimes for less. The first thing I did was to have it CLA'd before use. So I was spared the authors experience. So i had some dependable Cameras I liked interestingly I liked my Fed 3 the most although I had two Zorki 4' and a Zprki 4k.
Strangely enough the Zorki 1's were in great demand we never were able to get one in that auction house as they bidders regularly mede the prices climp beyond our limlit
