Zorki first film for processing

Hi,

I'm just on my first role of film with me newly purchased Zorki 2. Bearing in mind the film leader has been cut longer to get it into the camera, does this stop me from taking the film to get it developed on the high street?

No, the longer leader shouldn't be a problem. I always trim mine off a little to make it close to the original length. Post some pics from your Zorki. I am waitng for a Mir in the mail now, my first Zorki camera.

I've never bothered to trim it and it doesn't give my processor (Jessops) a problem. Good luck with the first shots!

Hello, since few weeks i am amazed by my Kiev 4A. Today i've visited my aunts house and for my surprise i've found old Zorki 10 😉

Anyone used this Zorki 10 ? Is it a good one for example like Kiev or nothing special ... ? I am not sure if should i load in it a film bought for Kiev ... is it worth it 🙂 ? By the way - it looks very funny, like a space-race camera 😉

It's OK if you don't mind the size and weight of it. I would check that the meter is still working before you risk wasting a film. You can see if the diaphragm and shutter speed change when you choose different combinations of light and film speed settings by looking through the lens with the back open. Of course that won't tell you if the meter is accurate.
