An old article about Leica worthy to be read

I read this article in print when it came out. It's interesting.

Just FYI, it's not that old. It appeared in the September 24, 2007 issue of the New Yorker.

In Internet time that might as well be last century. I think I saw this in December or January from a link someone posted to RFF.

I'll probably skim it this time. Thanks!

thanks for posting the link - was fun to read

...I worship my beat-up Nikon FE, but there is no denying that every snap reminds me of a cow kicking over a milk pail. With a Leica, all you hear is the shutter, which is the quietest on the market. The result—and this may be the most seductive reason for the Leica cult—is that a photograph sounds like a kiss." I like that statement

Thanks! Finished reading.
Explored some fun quotes and a new photographer to me - Lee Friedlander - I will definitely buy his books soon. His photos are not exactly what I like but they are very interesting.

For what I know, the fastest lens ever produced is a Rodenstock TV Heligon 50mm f/0.75, even if I'm not sure if it fits SLRs or RFs..., I found it both on them..
