Another 50 Elmar-M shot

Plain folk at a recent farmer's market in VT.

M7, 50mm Elmar-M, XP2 @320. I really like this collapsible lens.

Thanks, payasam and Mike. There was no sharpening applied and only a small Curves adjustment. And in spite of the flat lighting, the image is quite punchy. I'm having trouble taking this lens off the camera, I like it so much.

The 50 Elmar-M is often on the MP3 when I'm out and about. There is a very unique look from this lens, especially in flat light, that I like very much indeed. Performance right out into the corners is stunning, and even in big enlargements I find this little gem is right up there with the current Summicrons. This one is from the MFA in Boston (M7 / 50/2.8 Elmar-M / HP5+), the screen looks great all across the frame.

I shall watch for you- I'm usually wearing a bandana on my head until it gets cold, then a hat.

I hang out a lot at the MFA. Here's a shot the I think reinforces your comment:

Beautiful Harry. Last time I was there that stairway was a mess of construction scaffolds & webbing. Nice but dark. This was at 1/8th or perhaps a 1/4 on the M7, also with the Elmar-M I believe.

My first post was one of the windows in the snack bar down basement, or from somewhere on the first floor, looking through the scrim on the window into the courtyard. I was quite taken by the effect.
