Shot my first rolls of Neopan 400 in quite a while yesterday after spending some time recently trying to convince myself that Tri-X was the way to go ... peer pressure is a terrible thing! 😱

Well the Tri-X is all gone now and the pics I shot of a friend's teenage son with Fuji yesterday have confirmed my suspicions ... I prefer the look of the Neopan.

Celebrate the return with me and post some of your favourite Neopan/Acros pics. 🙂

Keith,

It was Neopan 400 and Rodinal that's made me really love my YashicaMat 124g...
I ran at least 100 rolls of Tri-x or Tmax through that camera and wasn't all that happy with it...and I grew up with Tri-X/Plus-X & Pan-X...I love the Kodak stuff...But that Neopan 400 is my first choice now...

Keith: Neopan 400 has been my standard for about six years. I develop the 35mm in Rodinal for 6-9 months, then HC-110 for 6-9 months. They are different but I can never decide to use one over the other. I always develop 120 Neopan 400 in Rodinal as I really like that.

But, I have shot 4-5 bricks of HP5 and then 6 bricks of Tri-X from time to time. I shoot them together with the Neopan and develop them together in the same tank.

But I honestly have to say that I would be hard pressed to describe any real differences from one film to another. I look at prints and just cannot tell which film I used. Developer, yes. Film, no.

But I am glad you are happy, even if it is with just one. I can be happy with any of them.

ADORE this Thread...love looking at NEOPAN shots
I too Steve like to play w/it Midday...also pushing those Boundaries
