The best camera is one that still works!
Shot my first rolls of Neopan 400 in quite a while yesterday after spending some time recently trying to convince myself that Tri-X was the way to go ... peer pressure is a terrible thing!
Well the Tri-X is all gone now and the pics I shot of a friend's teenage son with Fuji yesterday have confirmed my suspicions ... I prefer the look of the Neopan.
Celebrate the return with me and post some of your favourite Neopan/Acros pics.

Very nice, Keith and Helen. I also like Neopan in Rodinal; I've been shooting 1600 @ 800, and not just in low light situations...

Keith,
It was Neopan 400 and Rodinal that's made me really love my YashicaMat 124g...
I ran at least 100 rolls of Tri-x or Tmax through that camera and wasn't all that happy with it...and I grew up with Tri-X/Plus-X & Pan-X...I love the Kodak stuff...But that Neopan 400 is my first choice now...

Ride, dive, shoot.
Very nice Neopan shots. I'm mainly shooting HP5 and Tri-X, but Neopan always gives me a grin every time I use it.
at 1600, forgot developer.

Keith: Neopan 400 has been my standard for about six years. I develop the 35mm in Rodinal for 6-9 months, then HC-110 for 6-9 months. They are different but I can never decide to use one over the other. I always develop 120 Neopan 400 in Rodinal as I really like that.
But, I have shot 4-5 bricks of HP5 and then 6 bricks of Tri-X from time to time. I shoot them together with the Neopan and develop them together in the same tank.
But I honestly have to say that I would be hard pressed to describe any real differences from one film to another. I look at prints and just cannot tell which film I used. Developer, yes. Film, no.
But I am glad you are happy, even if it is with just one. I can be happy with any of them.

These photos look good! Has anyone compared the Legacy Pro line of films with Neopan?

I've been doing this lately too. 1600 looks GREAT at 800.

Having shot a lot of Neopan 400 and recently a lot of Legacy Pro, I would confidently say they are the same. Even the film canisters and spools are identical.
