I've gotten bored with digital lately. It's easy to snap off a lot of images but they don't compare to my B&W or Color film images.

I sold my D200 today and am now thinking about selling off my D90/lens/etc and going back to 100% film.

Maybe take the money and invest in more Leica film gear??

Opinions???????

Also...who can do high rez scanning of color film onto disk?? Not the cheap max image enlargable to 8x10 scanning of the local drug/dept store chains..

use the money from the camera sales to purchase a Nikon Coolscan. that's what I'd do.

I already have a scanner but the number of negs going back to the late 50's I have that I want scanned to disk would take me longer than having it done by a pro service..

Looks like you need a challenge. Get yourself an 8x10 camera and learn the wet colloidal process with glass plates. More 35mm will still be boring! ;)

Kidding, of course. Buy some more Leica gear.

I just traded my only digi to memphis for his iiif , no regrets and 100% film until I can get a hold of an M8 or they stop making film.( I don't see that happening anytime soon)

Did this years ago....

I'm thinking about rounding up all of my Nikon digital gear and taking it to the show this weekend. Maybe I'll find something worthwhile to trade it for..

IIIf RD?? That sounds good....

Film will still be around long after I'm gone...

If I got bored with digital, I would not start shooting film exclusively. I'd take up BASE jumping!

A digital helmet cam would bring the challenge back ;)

Are you bored with digital ... or bored with the cameras you're using?

In your sig I note you have an M2 and M3 so obviously you have some M mount or LTM lenses and you also have three screwmounts and a couple Nikon SLR's ... why would you want any more film bodies than this unless you were going to go MF?

Why not sell the DSLR's and get a used M8 with the money and put the M mount and LTM lenses you have to a different use?

:D

its a black dial , but super nice , its been my shooter since it showed up . I love it almost as much as my M3 aside from another couple lenses all I need to do is keep stocking my freezer with film.

Actually I like the Nikon digital system but the only time I turn out anything worthwhile is when shooting film. I find more and more that I am leaving the digital at home and taking one or more of my film cameras.

To be honest I'm not looking to buy another body except maybe a Rolleiflex to replace the one that was stolen. I still miss that camera..

Had a chance to try a used M8 from a local camera shop recently. As much as I like Leica I was not impressed..

I had a red dial self timer but let it go..still kicking myself...

I'm bored with threads about digital vs film.

Then don't read them..

I have no intention of knocking either. Both have their place. It just depends on which suits each individual based on their needs..
