Different culture, different games. I think I watched 2 or 3 american football games on tv. Switched off after 15 minutes because in those 15 minutes I
only saw 5 minutes or less of ballplay. Boring for me.

It wasn't the dive that resulted in the red card. That was a pretty mean obstruction.

The Dutch played lousy during the first 20 min, but slowly improved after that and ruled during the second half. I'm not impartial, but the Dutch deserved this outcome. They proved that they can deal with set backs and pull strength from it.

Yes indeed, despite their reputation, Brazil have always practiced the dark arts. 🙂 Of course the Dutch had von Bommel, a clogger if ever there was one, and also the expert diver Robben. What a ponce that bloke is, a pity because he's a good footballer.

after the cup, it might be good time to revise some rules in football, like using assisting video judges. I know some readers consider this almost blasphemy 😛

We here are very disappointed, 'cause the dutch ruined our glorious final victory against Brazil.

Now Spain will have to win the final against a sub-level team like Germany or Argentina.😀😀😀😀😀

oooops, no, that's the half finale!

Final can only be Spain-netherlands or Spain- Uruguay.

It's the funny think about Spain, all supporters and press see themselves World Champions before playing the games.
But they never end up World Champions.
I bet you that not this year either ... 😉
To what I have seen, Holland, Argentina and Germany are all capable of putting more intensity to the game. That will be what determines the World Champion. I bet it won't be Spain even if they play great.

As for the game today, the Netherlands were more of a team. They were pressing like Pokemons at the end and Brazil looked completely lost.
Mugging, diving is part of football. I did it, we all did. You get caught, yellow, if not the case than the ref is bad, not your fault.

bloody hell, that Suarez should be banned from professional football forEVER. Uruguay did not deserve to win at ALL.
I hate that red card + penalty rule so much right now, it should be red card + 5 game ban + goal.

But then using your hand DOES pay off. And Ghana loses. SO Suarez goes from goat to hero. Without his hand, Ghana would have won on that play at the goal. Instead we have penalty shots and Uruguay goes on.
