Is there a problem with the website or has he gone out of business?

Great ... that means the problem must lie with my server!
Satellite internet is one of the greatest piles of crap I've ever encountered ... unfortunately in my area there are no options ... I hate it!
Thanks.

I've just tried two other browsers and get the same response ... I love technology!

Your provider could be having DNS problems, happens now and then. You can try switching to a public DNS - just google to find one and point to the "new" DNS in your IP settings.

My son the computer wizard has sorted it ... it was a problem with the DNS settings!
Now I can't remember why I wanted to go to the site ... oh yes, I'm not very happy with my MF scans. I've come to the conclusion that whatever distortion there is in the negative while scanning has a serious effect on the sharpness in various areas of the image. I figure maybe the glass insert will help!

Keith, I use both the holder and inserts on my v700... The setup keeps the negs nice and flat, and the holder can be tuned to sit at the sharpest point of your scanner's focus. The results are well worth it, IMO!
So you have the MF dual strip holder and two newton glass inserts?

Yep, exactly - with two inserts.
Maybe not straight away but I can see myself going this direction as soon as I have the spare cash. I've just bought a Pentax 67ii and a couple of lenses so nothing but total committment from the V700 will be good enough now!

The Better Scanning setup is definitely worth the money, if only for the negative flatness.

I know a lot of people get improvements from this holder - but I have found that I don't get improved scans from my 4870. I think the optimal focus point on mine is at or below the base holder height.
And since I only scan 4x5 the flatness is not an issue with the stock holder...

In fact i prefer that Epson included holder over Betterscanning holder+ANR, i use them both and both do a great job but i feel i am more comfortable with the Epson manufacturer one, and i scan only 120mm, dunno if i will scan 35mm it will be a different story.
