Do you have more than one lens in the same focal length? Which FL and which lenses?

It might be stupid question. I know that many people have only one lens, and that should be enough if you can master it. However, I think different lenses have different signature and capability, and so there are many people have more than one lens even in the same focal length.

If you are the one who has more than one lens in the same focal length, could you please advice which lenses you have. And if possible, the reason why you decide to have both (or all) of them. 🙂
 
My only duplication at this point is in 50mm lenses.
I have a 50/2 planar, 50/1.5 J-3 and 50/2 Nikkor ltm

I pretty much only use these for portraits.
The zeiss planar is for those shots when I want a more modern look. I use it for color and B&W.
The other two really accomplish the same thing for me (The J-3 is a great sample of that particular lens and the nikkor was just priced right.) But those are the lenses I go to when I want a more vintage look.
 
50mm x 3. Elmar-M 50/2.8 for everyday use on M Leica, Elmar 50/3.5 for everyday use on IIIf, and Nikkor-HC 50/2 for indoor/portrait/for-character use on both M and LTM bodies.

And I have several 50mm/50mm-equiv lenses for other systems.
 
Nikkor HC 50/2 ltm, Canon 50/1.4 ltm on R-D1...love the different looks both of these older lenses bring to my images.
 
I suppose many people will report to having several 50mm lenses as it seems the most common length of which to own a variety.

Second, I would assume owners of the larger and faster 35mm lenses would have secondary lenses to complement if 35mm is their normal.
 
Jupiter 8 - love the look I get from this lens as a daily user.
Summarit 1.5 - hazy and scratched, interesting dream look
I61 l/d - Sharper and higher contrast than the j8, still deciding if I want to hold on to it.
 
two 50mm lenses; all-rounder is summilux 50 asph, the noctilux as my low light lens and when i want its look.

two 35mm lenses; w-nikkor c 35/1,8 2005 in M-mount (my favourite 35 that I have used) and the summicron 35 asph
 
This is a dangerous topic...
I have 2 21mm, 3 28mm, 4 35mm, 10 50mm and 2 90mm lenses. It has to do with keeping two separate lines of lenses: the low contrast/high resolution lenses (mainly old ones) for slow B&W shooting,

the ZM line of lenses for high contrast/microcontrast and sharpness at wider apertures, plus a few high speed/speciality lenses mainly for portraiture.

I have:

one 28mm (on its way) - Leica 28mm/2 Summicron
two 35mm - 35/1.4 Preasph Lux, 35/2.5 Color Skopar
three 50mm - 50/1.4 Preasph Lux, 50/2 Summicron (5th V.), 50/2.5 Color Skopar

All of which gets fairly regular use 🙂
 
two 35mm's. Bought a VC Ultron first then 2nd version 40mm Minolta CLE (same thing as far as i am concerned) later. Intending to sell one later but haven't. Like the Ultron results and exact 35mm worry free framing but like the way the 40mm is so small and fits right inside my ever ready case even with the screw on ebay metal round hood.

Have been mildly tempted to sell both and buy a Leica Summicron but doubt anything other than an ASPH would give better results and they have got v expensive since I started using Leica.

Rangefinder lenses:
1 28mm: Konica-M
2 35mm: Canon 2.8 LTM, Konica 2.0 UC-Hexanon
2 50mm: Nikkor 1.4 LTM, Leitz 2.0 DR Summicron
1 85mm: Nikkor 2.0 LTM
2 90mm: Leitz 2.8 Elmarit (first version), 2.8 Elmarit-M (last version)

If I come to my senses, I probably should thin the 85-90-90 group.
 
50mm: f/2 Summar, f/3.5 Industar 22, CV f/3.5 Heliar in LTM, plus a DR Cron in M mount. The Summar and Heliar make for quite different looks on my Barnack, the Industar I got as a body-cap with a FSU rangefinder I bought once, not a bad lens at all of course. The Cron is the go-to 50 when I use my Ms of course.

35mm: Summaron/2.8 with goggles and a CV 35/1.2 Nokton in M mount. Well, I own an M3 too... enough said. And there is the formidable size and weight delta.
 
For the different looks - two 35 Summicrons; v.1 and ASPH, four 50s; DR, Lux pre-ASPH, Lux ASPH, Noctilux, two 90s; TE (for travel), E55 Summicron pre-ASPH.

Too many.
